The USS Fitzgerald, a 505-foot destroyer, collided with a Philippine container vessel early Saturday morning local time, the U.S. 7th Fleet said. The incident occurred about 56 nautical miles off Yokosuka, Japan.
Seven US soldiers wounded in Afghan 'insider attack'
Mazar-i-Sharif (Afghanistan) (AFP) - Seven American troops were wounded Saturday in an insider attack by an Afghan soldier at a military base, as the US appears set to boost its troop presence in the country.
